Studio Policies
These policies are designed to ensure each client receives the time, care, and attention that defines the Studio Masami experience.
Reserving Your Appointment
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve all new-client cosmetic tattoo appointments. After booking, a deposit invoice will be sent to the email address provided. Your appointment is confirmed once the deposit has been received, and the amount will be applied toward the total cost of your procedure.
Existing client touch-ups are scheduled by text or email only and do not require a deposit.
All service prices are subject to applicable taxes. Payments for completed services are final, and refunds are not available once a procedure has been performed.
Rescheduling & Cancellations
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours' notice so that your deposit can be transferred to a new date.
Your deposit will be forfeited when an appointment is:
-
Rescheduled or canceled with less than 48 hours' notice
-
Missed without notice (no-show)
-
Unable to proceed because you arrive more than 20 minutes late
Repeated last-minute cancellations or missed appointments may affect your ability to schedule future services.
Arriving for Your Appointment
Appointments are scheduled consecutively, and the studio door remains locked during procedures to protect each client's privacy and prevent interruptions.
Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time rather than early. The door will be opened one the previous appointment has concluded and your artist is ready for you.
To maintain a quiet treatment environment and follow studio health and safety practices, please arrive without additional guests. Only the client receiving the service may be present in the treatment room.
Existing Cosmetic Tattoo Work
Brows that have been previously tattooed or worked on by another artist must be assessed before an appointment can be confirmed. This applies even when the previous tattoo appears light or faded.
Please submit a clear, makeup-free photo by text or email. The existing color, shape, and level of saturation will be evaluated to determine whether a correction can be performed or if lightening or removal should be considered first.
Understanding Healed Results
Due to the nature of cosmetic tattooing, healed results cannot be guaranteed. Each client's skin responds differently, and the final color, density, and pigment retention will vary.
Results may be influenced by:
-
Skin type, texture, and condition
-
Existing pigment and level of saturation
-
Natural skin tone and undertones
-
Medications and certain health conditions
-
Skincare products, exfoliants, and professional treatments
-
Sun exposure, tanning, smoking, and lifestyle
-
Individual healing and pigment retention
-
Following the recommended preparation and aftercare
-
The selected color, density, and style
Every procedure is carefully customized, and we will make every reasonable effort to achieve a balanced, natural-looking result suited to the individual client.
The Initial Touch-Up
New-client procedures include one initial touch-up. This appointment allows the healed color and shape to be evaluated and refined when needed.
The included touch-up must be completed between six weeks and four months after the initial procedure. Appointments scheduled outside this period will follow the current maintenance touch-up pricing.
Touch-up appointments don't require a deposit, but will have a $75 cancellation fee if the appointment is missed, cancelled, or rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice.
Maintenance Appointments
Cosmetic tattoo pigment is designed to soften gradually over time. Future maintenance appointments are optional and may be scheduled according to your healed results and personal preference.
Maintenance touch-ups are available exclusively to existing Studio Masami clients and must be scheduled by text or email. Pricing is based on the amount of time that has passed since your most recent procedure.
Service Eligibility
For the health and safety of every client, cosmetic tattoo procedures cannot be performed when a medical condition, medication, or other circumstance listed in our contraindications makes treatment unsafe or unsuitable.
Clients are responsible for reviewing the contraindication list and disclosing all relevant health information before scheduling. Medical clearance may be required before proceeding in certain circumstances.
Studio Masami reserves the right to decline, postpone, or discontinue a procedure when a client is not eligible for treatment, when the procedure cannot be performed safely, or when professional recommendations and studio policies are not followed. These decisions are made using professional judgement and with the client's safety and well-being in mind.
Before You Book
By reserving an appointment and submitting your deposit, you confirm that you have reviewed and accepted these policies.
If you have existing cosmetic tattoo work, questions about candidacy, or are unsure which service to select, please contact Studio Masami before booking.
