To our valued clients:

We thank you for entrusting us with your services during this tumultuous time. In our continued effort to minimize the risk of COVID-19, and doing our part in practicing social distancing, we have modified our operations to satisfy the needs of both you and the community.

As a friendly reminder, Studio Masami is a registered and insured Tattoo and Beauty Shop Establishment. Every technician holds an up-to-date Tattoo License and / or Esthetician License registered with the State of Hawaii, this requires that they be fully trained and certified in the proper handling of bodily fluids, bloodborne pathogens, and contaminated personal protective equipment (PPE). Studio Masami has always been a single-use establishment, meaning that each product / supply that has been used on a client is discarded after use, and every surface that has come into contact with a client is sanitized with hospital-grade disinfectants before and after each service.

As we prepare to reopen our establishment, we are working together to navigate the new "normal", and ensure that we maintain the safety of our clients / staff as this remains as our number one priority.

Following the OSHA / CDC guidelines, we have outlined a mandatory protocol in addition to our existing sanitation procedures. These protocols and procedures will remain in effect until further notice, if you have any issues adhering to our new guidelines, please let us know immediately so that we may cancel your appointment. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we do our best to get through this ever changing situation.

  • Pre-Screening questions

    • We will be asking additional questions regarding the current health status of our clients. Clients exhibiting any cold-like symptoms will not be allowed into the establishment.

  • Wear a mask

    • Everyone entering King Center Building and Studio Masami must wear a mask at all times.

  • Come by yourself

    • Our reception and seating area will remain closed. Absolutely no guest(s) will be allowed to wait in Studio Masami or King Center Building.

  • Wash your hands

    • No outside gloves will be allowed. Clients will be directed to wash their hands for 20 secs (or hand sanitizer will be provided) upon entering the establishment or returning from the restroom, new gloves can be provided upon request.

  • Limited phone use

    • Phones must be kept with the client's personal belongings. If the client needs access, they will be directed to wash their hands (or hand sanitizer will be provided) afterwards, prior to continuing with the appointment.

  • Keep talking to a minimum

    • Other than discussing the necessities (consultation, aftercare, etc), talking will be kept to a minimum.

As the CDC and our health officials learn more about this virus, these guidelines are subject to change at any time.
