Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Alana's interest in the beauty & skincare industry started at the age of 15, when she first encountered the common insecurities that many women face with problematic skin. She quickly gained a passion for understanding skin anatomy & pursued her interest in Aesthetics at Makana Wellness Academy. 

Alana's Esthetic career eventually progressed to Cosmetic Tattooing where she found her true dream and passion. Having been disappointed with a cosmetic tattoo procedure she received herself 10 years ago, she is determined to raise industry standards. Due to her proactive attitude, and intense hunger for knowledge, she has spent thousands of dollars traveling, and learning from the lead Cosmetic Tattoo providers around the world.  As of 2020, Alana is 8x certified in the art of Cosmetic Tattooing, and offers international techniques such as American, European, and Asian. She believes in creating natural and youthful results for her clients of all ages.

Her lifelong dream has been to provide everything she's ever loved and hoped for in one space, and Studio Masami is the fruition of that dream. Apart from work, Alana's focus is being a full time dog mom to her three fur-kids AJ, Aja, and Noir.
